Common questions
Money, Quotes and Offers
Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?
Because the lowest number on a page often isn't the lowest cost once corners get cut or a callback's needed. We focus on doing the work properly the first time, backed by a lifetime labour warranty and licensed plumbers on every job. That's worth more than chasing the smallest quote.
How does your upfront fixed pricing work?
We assess the job in person, then hand you one number before any work starts. That figure covers parts and labour for the whole repair, with nothing extra waiting on the invoice. If the job turns out bigger than expected once we're into it, we stop and requote rather than quietly running up the bill.
Does the price change once you start?
No. Once you've agreed to the fixed price, that's what you pay, regardless of how long the job actually takes. The only exception is if you ask us to do something extra beyond the original job, and even then we'd quote that separately before touching it.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No, there's no call-out fee, ever. A licensed plumber can come out, assess the problem and give you a fixed quote without a cent changing hands. Payment only happens once you approve the work.
Common questions
Who's Responsible for What
What is your lifetime labour warranty?
It means the labour on every job we complete is guaranteed for the life of the work, not just twelve months. If a repair fails later, we come back and fix it at no cost.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every plumber and gas fitter we send holds a current NSW licence, and the business carries full insurance. Our licence number, #465156C, is always available for you to see before we start any work.
Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?
Some things are safe to do yourself, like turning the water off at the meter or clearing a simple plunger blockage. Anything involving gas, the water supply pipework, or drainage beyond a basic fixture legally needs a licensed plumber, and gas work should never be attempted without one.
Can you check my licence number?
Of course. Our NSW plumbing licence is #465156C, and it covers both plumbing and gas fitting work. You can search the NSW Fair Trading licence register any time, before, during or after a job.
Common questions
When We Can Come
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes, genuinely. Someone picks up the phone at any hour, and there's always a licensed tradesperson on the roster, ready to move. Same-day help is the standard we work to, particularly for anything that can't safely wait until morning.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes. There's no closed sign here, not even on Christmas Day or Easter. Plumbing emergencies don't check a calendar, so neither do we, and the same pricing terms apply whatever day it happens to be.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Anything that risks damage or leaves you without a basic service: a burst pipe, no hot water, a blocked toilet in a single-bathroom home, or any gas smell. A slow drain or an occasional drip can usually wait for a normal booking instead.
How do I book?
Call (02) 9139 9963 for the fastest response, especially for anything urgent. For less urgent jobs, the contact page has a callback form for whenever picking up the phone isn't convenient.
Common questions
Local Answers for Ryde
What suburbs do you service around Ryde?
West Ryde, Meadowbank, Putney, Gladesville and Macquarie Park are all part of our regular coverage alongside Ryde itself, and if your address falls inside the council boundary, we're probably already out that way most weeks.
Do you handle strata and units in Ryde?
Yes, regularly. The mix of post-war houses and newer apartment towers here means shared hot water systems and strata plumbing are a normal part of the job, not a special case we need extra time to plan for.
Do you cover the suburbs next to Ryde?
Yes, all five neighbouring suburbs linked throughout this site, on exactly the same terms as everywhere else we work.
How local are you, really?
Local enough that TAFE NSW Ryde and Ryde Library are both familiar landmarks to us, not addresses we'd need to look up. Winter brings its own pattern too, with reverse-cycle heating load tipping worn-out post-war hot water systems over the edge right when you need them most.
